Catch the train from London
Most tours depart from Robertsbridge Station, which is on the Charing Cross/London Bridge to Hastings line. The journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. One route departs from Rye Station instead, on the St Pancras/Victoria line, taking about 1 hour 6 minutes. Check your tour for which station.

Step off and onto the bus
Our luxury air-conditioned bus will be waiting at the station when you arrive. No taxis, no transfers, no waiting around. You step off the train and straight onto the bus. Your day has begun.

Three vineyards, four hours
The bus takes you to three vineyards, spending time at each one. You'll taste four wines at every stop, guided by the winemakers themselves. Lunch is at the second vineyard - a Sussex cheese and charcuterie spread with wine pairings. Between vineyards, sit back and enjoy the rolling Sussex countryside from the bus.

Back to the station
At the end of the day, the bus drops you back at the same station in time for your return train to London. You'll be home by early evening, with (hopefully) a few bottles of wine to show for it.

Can I drive instead?
The bus picks up and drops off at the station, so the train is the easiest way to enjoy the full day and all 12 tastings without worrying about driving. If you do prefer to drive, you can arrange to meet the bus at the first vineyard. Please contact us in advance so we can confirm the meeting point.
Our recommendation: take the train. It's part of the experience, and you can enjoy every glass.
Buying a train ticket
You can buy tickets on the day at the station, but booking in advance is usually cheaper. Check National Rail or Trainline for the best fares. An off-peak return from London to Robertsbridge is typically around £20-25.
Before you go
What to wear
Smart casual is perfect. You'll be walking around vineyards so comfortable shoes are a good idea, but it's not a hike. Bring a light jacket in case the weather turns.
What to bring
Just yourself and a card for buying wine. Everything else is taken care of. A bag for carrying bottles between vineyards is handy but not essential.
Buying wine on the day
You can buy bottles at every vineyard. Carry them on the bus between stops. Buy six or more at any single vineyard and they'll ship them all home for free.
Weather
Tours run rain or shine. Tastings happen indoors, and the bus is air-conditioned. The Rother Valley gets some of the highest sunshine hours in England, so chances are you'll be lucky.
